How to use your own emoji in images on social media

I had this issue that I wanted to use my Ghosty as an emoji, instead of the ones on my phone, and the ones you usually find in various photo editing apps. Basically, I just wanted my own thing, and for it to be personal and unique. But since finding an app that could do what I wanted seemed impossible, I found a simple way to work around it. If you want to use your own stickers too, do read on. I promise it’s gonna be fast and easy for you to do the same thing.

First of all, you need a smartphone. Install Adobe Photoshop Mix on it, and make sure you have your emojis ready. You can either make your own, or download the images you want to use. Be aware of copyrights though, as not everything you find on the net is free to use. I found an image size of about 450px width to be best, but if you need to scale your emojis down for some photos, make sure they are bigger than that. Save your emojis as .png with a transparent background, and then send them to your phone.

When ready, open Photoshop and create a new project with a photo from your phone. Once you are done using filters and resizes, create a new layer. Once again, you choose an image from your phone, but this time the emoji you want to use. It might show up with a black background, but it’s transparent once you place it on your photo, so don’t worry. It’s now possible to place your emoji anywhere in your image, and even resize it. Create as many layers as you need new emojis, and don’t forget to save your image to your phone once done.

Now you can post it anywhere you want, with your own unique look and feel to it!
