I’m sorry for not having written anything this month until now. December is always hectic for us with our anniversary, birthdays, Christmas and New Year, and to top it all off I got a cold few days ago, and am still recovering. Hooray! Anyway, it’s time to look back at the year that has passed, and also to make plans for the new one, and I’ll do that by looking at my resolutions for this year, so let’s see what I got done and what I want to do.

I got to 8 out of the 10 chapters that I wanted to write, but I’m not really mad, since I wrote a side story. I am currently working on another side story, as well as the next chapter, so this goal might not have been completed in the way I wanted it to, but I got to explore my characters in side stories, which is at least just as nice as writing the main story.

A goal what was completed but ended up being a bad one after all was the tablet. I bought it, tried it and returned it. Instead I got myself a newer version of my good old laptop, and although I have yet to properly use it due to various issues that I need to get used to, I am happy to have a fully functional (and fast) working space again!

The 10 anime series that I wanted to watch and review was a goal that I completed quite early this year. I didn’t expect to watch that many series, but having it as a goal really helped me, and I got to catch up on some older series, as well as watch some that I never thought I would. Some were really good while others were rather meh, but I’m happy nonetheless.

In FFXIV I reached lvl 70 with 13 out of 15 classes, which I could have done better, but since my PC simply isn’t cut out for playing the newest expansion, I got a little bored after leveling most of the classes while doing the same leves and dungeons in Heavensward day after day. However, I’m still sticking to doing the events, made an alt chara, and even play with my boyfriend again, so there’s that, and it’s fine.

As for the family cookbook… Nothing is fine at all. I got to add very few recipes, although we actually tried and liked a lot of new food. The issue here is though, that my boyfriend is the one taking the photos, and when he comes home late or is just plain old super hungry, he’s not taking any at all, and the recipe doesn’t get added. So I’m quite disappointed to not having reached this goal, but we do use the recipes already added more often now, so there’s at least that.

As for the minor goals, I only finished reading The Divine Comedy. I didn’t take these goals that seriously though, they were just there to have something to do in case I got the main goals done and needed something to occupy myself. I will keep the ones that I didn’t do though, because it’s not like I don’t want to complete these goals anymore.

Now, the brainfarts actually surprised me. They were just for fun, but I ended up doing almost all of them. It was fun to create the printables, and I actually ended up making more designs than planned. The gif was for giggles and done within a few hours. The crafting challenge was indeed challenging, and although it was exhausting, I really enjoyed making something every day for a month. I think that some of the stuff I did during that month counts as some of the best I’ve made yet, so yay! I didn’t create a smiley set for this blog, and to be honest, I don’t think I really want to anymore. However, I might create one for free download, but I’ve got a ton of other plans that I deem more important, so we’ll see…

So, all in all, I’m quite satisfied with what I got done. This was the first time I ever had any resolutions, and since I found it to be a success, I’ve decided to make some for next year too, so let’s see what I’ve come up with.

Main goals: Learn crochet. Attend at least 1 craft fair. Finish (yes, FINISH) writing my book. Watch 10 anime series or movies and review them (again). Make a complete list of all our DVD’s. Paint our entrance and get the coat rack painted and decorated. Get to 15 recipes in our family cookbook. Reach lvl 70 with all FFXIV battle classes (aaaaahhhh!!!).

Sub-goals: Draw portraits of 5 of my main OC’s. Lose 5kg. Finish reading ‘Around the world in 80 days’. Finish the short light novel. Finish the Ghosty sticker set for Line. Finish the Bakura Vector art.

Brainfarts: Create a smiley set for this blog. Make Ghosty seasonal art. Open an Etsy shop for my printables.

Is it just me, or did I add more goals than last year? I don’t know if I will get it all done, but I like having goals, so… I’ll update the list on ‘The site & I’.

So, what else is new? Well, we got the Playstation Classic upon release, and although I know it has some issues, I actually find it to be very enjoyable. To be honest, I already have the games on it that interest me like Tekken 3, Wild Arms, Jumping Flash and Rayman, but it’s fun to play stuff like Destruction Derby again. My boyfriend seems to enjoy himself with Resident Evil, and the lil’ one gets to experience the shit that we played back then. Or, well, I force him to play Alundra already, so yeah.

I also got to spend some hard earned survey points and paid almost nothing for Supernatural season 13, Ant-Man and Attack on Titan season 1 and 2. I’ve been craving the AoT Blu-Ray boxes for quite a while now, so it’s nice to finally have them. I also got Dusk Maiden of Amnesia for my birthday, so I need a new goal now, haha.

The post is getting long, so I’ll just end it here and wish everyone some happy holidays and a happy new year!

PS: What’s with this Gutenberg shit in WordPress 5.0? I had to install a plugin to get this up. Seriously…
